Dorothy A. Staiti

Dorothy A. Staiti, 91, resident of Amherst, NH, died December 9, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lowell, MA on June 19, 1918, a daughter of the late George A. and Dora M. (Beland) Durand. Mrs. Staiti resided in Amherst for the past 17 years and formerly lived in Milford for more than 50 years. She was a devout catholic and communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford. Mrs. Staiti was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. A homemaker for most of her life, she took great pride raising and caring for her family. Family members include her husband of 69 years, Joseph M. Staiti of Amherst, NH; four sons and daughters-in-law, George J.L. and Helen Staiti of Amherst, NH, John M. Staiti, Thomas P. and Sandra Staiti, Arthur P. and Donna Staiti, all of Milford, NH; two daughters and a son-in-law, Alice D. Despres of Milford, NH, Irene C. and Dennis Wheeler of Amherst, NH; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; several nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 12th at 10:00 am in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.
