Doris C. Lebaron

Doris C. LeBaron, 95, resident of Weare, NH, died on June 19, 2021 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown, NH. She was born in Summit, New Jersey on September 5, 1925, a daughter of Edward H. and Lenora (Apple) Franke. She was raised and educated in New Jersey and graduated from Chatham High School (NJ), Class of 1944. During high school she enjoyed playing softball and field hockey. Doris married the love of her life, Stanley H. LeBaron on September 22, 1951 in Chatham, NJ. They lived in Raymond, NH for several years before moving to Amherst, NH in 1968 where they remained until his death in 2001. For the past 17 years, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law in Weare, NH. In her earlier years, Doris had been employed as a secretary at the New York City Athletic Club. Her greatest joy was caring for and raising her family. She especially loved being a grandmother and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and horse shows. In addition, Doris was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. She had been a longtime active member of the Milford United Methodist Church and also enjoyed singing in the choir. She was predeceased by her sister, Thelma Mae Ford. Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen C. and Patrick Doherty of Weare, NH, Kathy E. LeBaron and Paul Adams of Natick, MA; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen E. and Kara LeBaron of Concord, NH; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021at 1:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home 63 Elm Street, Milford NH. Burial will follow in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made the Milford United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 476, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH 03055.
