Donna L. Simpson, 86, resident of Milford, NH, died on December 4, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on May 4, 1938 in Antrim, NH, the daughter of Harold Starkweather and Ilene (Andrews) Starkweather. Donna was raised and educated in Wilton, having graduated from Wilton High School, Class of 1956. 

Donna had been employed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic as a receptionist for many years and previously at Paralyzed Veterans of America, Wilton, NH. She was a longtime member of the Second Congregational Church, Wilton. 

 She enjoyed going to the beach, but most especially spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her late husband, Robert Hancock; sister, June Swanson and her brother, Arlen Sargent; nephews, Verne Starkweather and Stanley Martus. 

Family members include her loving husband, Oren L. Simpson of Milford, NH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Hacker and William of Las Vegas, NV, Stacie Salisbury and Peter of Wilton, NH; grandchildren, Kayla and James Chin of Merrimack, NH, Mitchell Salisbury of Boston, MA, Colton Salisbury of Fitchburg, MA, Crystal Gagnon of Milford, NH, Matthew Daniels of Rindge, NH and Allison Betchel of Colorado; her sister, Marlene Leith of Milford, NH; several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Hospice, Karen Cofil, who was an angel to our Mom and to the wonderful people at Mill apartments. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, in the spring.
