Donna grew up in Fitchburg, MA before graduating from Burbank Hospital School to become a registered nurse. A nurse for many decades, she began her career at Nashua Memorial Hospital and later went on to become a nurse manager at Brookside Hospital. She shared her immense gifts as a visiting psychiatric nurse with many, ending her career traveling throughout southern NH for Home Health and Hospice care.
Donna had a big heart and a wonderful warm smile. Her patients and later many additional friends appreciated the care she gave even as she battled her own health issues. She and her late wife Mary Lou always welcomed the opportunity to share good food and good conversation in their home with a wide circle of friends and family. She had an appreciation for poetry and was known to give friends and family poems of her own to mark holidays and events. She could always be counted on for thoughtful and heartfelt reflections on many occasions and will be much missed by many more than could be mentioned.
