Donna Mary St. Germain, 69, of Amherst NH, passed away after a short illness in Sarasota, Florida, on August 7, 2023.

She was the daughter of Andrew St. Germain and Ida DeLibertus St. Germain, both of whom predeceased her. She was the beloved wife of the late Mary Louise Comins Crozier. She is survived by her sister Linda St. Germain Smith, of Bradenton, Florida. Donna is also survived by a daughter Martha Louise Crozier Povey of Brookline, NH, goddaughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth Canfield and her husband Ryan, and granddaughter Maya Louise Povey of Vermont.

Donna leaves behind additional granddaughters Lauren Ryland of OH, Grace Crozier of VA, and Mirren Filbert of VA, and great-grandchildren Jahdai Povey, Ilexziah Canfield, Aster Watkevich, Serena Mingus, and Valentina Edge.

Donna was predeceased by her niece Lisa Smith and by Mary-Lou’s son Ernest Prescott (Scott) Crozier III and grandson John Povey.

Others who love and remember her include nieces and nephews Jodi LaCross and David of Lunenburg, MA and their family, Scott and Norene Smith of Fitchburg, MA and their children, Tom and Jane McCord of Reading, MA, Jim and Marissa Comins of Lafayette, CA, former son-in-law Greg Povey of VT, former daughter-in-law Loretta of OH, and former sister-in-law Norma Comins of Waterford, CT. She was the sister-in-law to Denyse Comins and the late Ellsworth D. She is remembered by many friends and colleagues in the nursing profession and around the community.

Donna grew up in Fitchburg, MA before graduating from Burbank Hospital School to become a registered nurse. A nurse for many decades, she began her career at Nashua Memorial Hospital and later went on to become a nurse manager at Brookside Hospital. She shared her immense gifts as a visiting psychiatric nurse with many, ending her career traveling throughout southern NH for Home Health and Hospice care.

Donna had a big heart and a wonderful warm smile. Her patients and later many additional friends appreciated the care she gave even as she battled her own health issues. She and her late wife Mary Lou always welcomed the opportunity to share good food and good conversation in their home with a wide circle of friends and family. She had an appreciation for poetry and was known to give friends and family poems of her own to mark holidays and events. She could always be counted on for thoughtful and heartfelt reflections on many occasions and will be much missed by many more than could be mentioned.
