Donata Trombly Lorette

On January 30th, Donata Trombly Lorette passed peacefully from this world, surrounded by her loving family at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Known as Doni, she was born in Nashua, NH on March 1, 1942 to Weston and Mildred (Welch) Trombly. She attended Milford schools and later earned a degree from Hesser College in Nashua. She was employed in the field of Purchasing for many years. Doni’s life was defined by family, faith and humor. She was devout in her Catholic faith, loved music and dancing, and, according to her grandson, “made the best bread and butter”. She enjoyed watching car races, playing Scrabble, and contributing to the success of home shopping networks. Maternal to her core, nothing made her happier than mothering her big, extended family. She was a communicant of St Patrick Church, and sang in the choir for many years. It was a source of pride and happiness for her. She was predeceased by a dear brother, Weston F. Trombly. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Deschenes of Milford, son, Sean Lorette of Rindge, and sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Dana Lorette and Joe and Samantha Cestarich, all of Milford. She adored her grandchildren Jolie, Lucien, Lucy, Liliana, Angelo, Cameron, Dominic and Elaina, as well as all the children who knew and loved her as Grammie Doni. She is also survived by her sister, Claire Castanino of Bedford; two brothers, Brian Trombly of Northfield, NH and Rod Trombly of Loudon, TN; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and her cherished "other kids" whom she nurtured, prayed for, sometimes nagged, and always loved. Calling hours are on Monday, February 3rd from 4:30-7:30 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Please come to share stories, memories, and smiles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 4th at 11:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the good folks at Community Hospice House of Merrimack (www.hhhc.org) or the SHARE Program of Milford.
