Donald L. Barrett

Donald L. Barrett, 82, of Merrimack, NH, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Community Hospice House with his devoted wife, Cheryl A. (Clark) Barrett at his bedside. They would have celebrated their 29th anniversary on November 19, 2017. Don was born on November 3, 1934, in Metropolis, Illinois to Charles L. and Jeannette (Johnson) Barrett. He made his home in Merrimack for more than 50 years. He worked as a manager for Triangle Pacific Company in Nashua for over 30 years. In addition, he enjoyed working in his yard, traveling and especially taking trips to the beach. Don served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1957. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Barrett who died in 1973; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joan and Dick Phelan, and Carolyn Lyon; and his beloved Cocker Spaniel “Bandit”. Don is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl; two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Barrett, David and Michelle Barrett; his father-in-law, Edward Clark; a sister-in-law, Karen Clark; three brothers, Tom Barrett, Gary Barrett and Jim Barrett; a sister, Nancy Winslow; many nieces and nephews; and his cats, Abby and Daphne. Funeral services are private.
