Diane F. Fox

Diane F. Fox, 65, resident of Milford, NH died on February 21, 2013 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. She was born in Boston, MA on March 17, 1947, the daughter of Francis K. and Mary E. (Smith) Mathers. Raised and educated in Bennington, Vermont, she made her home in Wilton, NH for 40 years and more recently lived in Milford. Diane graduated from New Hampshire Hospital School of Nursing, Concord, and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rivier College. She had been employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital for more than 30 years in the maternal child health department. In addition, she worked at Aynsley Place, Nashua, NH for several years. Diane was instrumental in establishing Empty Cradle, a support group for parents who lost their children through miscarriage or stillbirth. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Diane was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford. She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Fox, who died in 2004. Family members include two sons, Erik M. Fox of Manchester, NH, Kyle A. Fox and his wife, Kimberley Ahlgren of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Deirdrea M. Rust and her husband, Andrew of Haysville, KS; three grandchildren, Morgan Rust, Abigail Rust, both of KS and Kasen Fox of Amherst, NH. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
