Desiree K. Rumore, 89, longtime resident of Brookline, NH, died December 28, 2010 at Havenwood-Heritage Heights, Concord, NH. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on December 27, 1921, a daughter of Louis and Julie (LeMaitre) Kervella. She was a graduate of Port Richmond High School, Class of 1939, Staten Island, New York and graduated from Drakes Business College in New York City in 1940. Prior to moving to Belmont, NH in 2004, Mrs. Rumore made her home in Brookline for 50 years. She had been employed as a secretary at Nashua Vo-Tech College for several years and had also worked at Kenmore Stamp Company in Milford for many years. While living in Brookline, Mrs. Rumore was a communicant of Infant Jesus Mission Church, Brookline and St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. She enjoyed playing the piano. Her true passion was for everything related to family. Mrs. Rumore loved all types of crafts including knitting, sewing, crocheting and enjoyed giving her beautiful handmade items away. A wonderful cook, she could often be found in her kitchen cooking and baking for others. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Rumore, who died in 1993 and two brothers, Paul Kervella and Louis Kervella. Family members include her daughter, Desiree Houle of Northfield, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis T. and Marcia Rumore of New Boston, NH; five grandchildren, Benjamin Rumore and his wife, Cathy, Louis F. Rumore, Angela Rumore, David E. Houle and Kristen Houle; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday evening, January 3rd from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
