Denise J. Stiers

Denise J. Stiers, 62, resident of Mont Vernon, NH, died on July 20, 2013 at her home. She was born in Hollister, CA on December 30, 1950, a daughter of Hall E. and Charlotte M. (Fawcett) Holdaway. Denise resided in Mont Vernon for the past several months and formerly made her home in Modesto, CA for many years. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and loved serving and taking care of others. In addition, she also enjoyed traveling. Denise was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Hilary A. and Wesley Sonner of Mont Vernon, NH, Miranda M. Stiers of Modesto, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Seth T. and Erin Stiers of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; a sister, Diane Holdaway of Modesto, CA; three brothers, David Holdaway of Gilroy, CA, Steven Holdaway of Aptos, CA and Michael Holdaway of West Hollywood, CA; many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held on Thursday, July 25th from 10:00-11:00 am in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 110 Concord Street, Nashua, NH, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Norris Cotton Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
