David Richard Aborn passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on December 28, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He was born in Zion, Illinois on March 19, 1924, the son of Clair Orin Aborn and Margaret Chesley Aborn, both deceased. He was one of seven brothers and sisters. David was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army at Fort Polk, LA. Mr. Aborn attended school in Zion, Illinois. He graduated from Nashua Business College in 1956. From 1956-1965, Dave was a sales representative for the DoALL Company of Des Plains, IL and won the company�s highest honor for industrial sales in 1962. From 1965 to 1999, he was President of Production Associates Company, Inc., in Nashua, New Hampshire. David is survived by his wife of 64 years, Harriet Aborn and preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Susan Aborn. Known as �Sluggo� to those who loved him, he will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and wonderful likeability and instant rapport. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Those who knew David knew that he was not afraid of death and strongly believed in The Other Side. He looked forward to �sitting in a rocking chair on the big porch in the sky surrounded by loved ones and good conversation.� If David were here to speak to us he would remind each of us to cherish family, travel often, say something loving to one another everyday, laugh at jokes and eat at least one thing that is chocolate. He is survived by his son, Glenn Charles Aborn and his wife, Arlene Virginia Aborn; and their children, Kerrie Melissa Aborn, Jeffrey Charles Aborn, Christopher Glenn Aborn, Timothy James Aborn, Julie Marie (Aborn) Niemann and her husband James; and David�s great granddaughter, Greta Josephine Niemann. He is also survived by his daughter, Nancy Aborn Patton Wuennemann and her husband, Ronald Wuennemann and her daughters, Rachel Catherine Gail Patton and Margaret Emma Josephine Patton. Also known at �Unc�, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Friday morning, January 2nd from 9:00-11:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A celebration of his life will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
