David McLaren Courage Jr., 73, of Greenville, NH, passed away on March 4, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by family. He was born October 6, 1943 in Nashua, NH, the son of the late David McLaren Courage Sr. and Phyllis Ashford Courage. David served his country as a U.S. Marine and was honorably discharged in 1967 with the rank of Sergeant. Upon being discharged he started his life's career as an Auto Technician. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He was predeceased by a brother, Alan Courage; and a sister, Heather Bose. David is survived by Nancy Courage, his wife of 49 years; his children, Christopher Courage (Nathan Barnes - Husband), William Courage (Dana Edgarton), Kelly Clark (Joshua Clark - Husband); three grandchildren, Colby, Jordan and Emma Clark; three sisters, Sheila Connolly, Davida Wagner, and Laurie Courage. Visiting hours are on Thursday, March 9th from 4:00pm-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. Donations in his memory may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, Attn: Development, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. .
