David “Ozzy” Osborn, 64, passed away in his home on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, in Milford, NH from a heart attack. David was born in Lowell, MA on April 9, 1952, a son of George and Louise (Leonard) Osborn. David began his career at Milford Amherst Senior High School (M.A.S.H) followed by the Butler School in Lowell, MA, and he finished his career at Goffstown Middle School. David spent over 35 years in the field of education as a highly respected and loved Guidance Counselor. David always had a passion for teaching and after retiring he worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department at Nashua Community College. He also taught tennis during the summer months for the Nashua Parks and Recreation Department in Nashua, NH. David was also an avid photographer and he enjoyed all kinds of music. David lived life to the fullest and had a strong sense of community. He will be remembered by many for driving around in his Honda S2000 convertible with the top down and a smile on his face while listening to the Grateful Dead. He will also be remembered for his love of his family and for his generous heart. After a personal experience, David helped spread awareness for organ donation throughout New Hampshire, sharing his story and the importance of becoming an organ donor. Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter Cara Wry and her husband Daniel of Rye, NH, a son Keith of Manchester, NH, three brothers: Stephen and his wife Paula of Lowell, MA, Michael and his wife Janet of Shrewsbury, MA, and John and his wife Kathy of North Chelmsford, MA along with his many nieces and nephews, Christopher and his wife Ashley, Brent, Timothy and his wife Kaila, Brian, Nathan, Julia and her fiancé Ben Spence, Amanda, Jenna, Michael, Matthew, and Addison Osborn, all of whom he treasured dearly. He will be greatly missed by his family, his many close friends and all the people he has touched in his life. “What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been” – The Grateful Dead A Celebration of Life will be at held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date at St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, those willing may make contributions in his memory to the Lahey Clinic Transplant Center in Burlington, Massachusetts or become an organ donor.
