Cynthia L. Paul

Cynthia Louise Paul, 81, resident of Milford, NH, died on January 16, 2025, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack. Her family was with her and she was resting comfortably and was ready to go.

She was born on February 14, 1943, in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude (Thomas) Neily.

Cynthia lived in Swampscott, MA until she was 5, when the family crossed the country to California when her dad was transferred with GE. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ralph, just after graduating High School. They were married in 1961 and started their family in Sunnyvale, CA. In 1975 Cynthia moved back across the country to upstate New York when Ralph accepted a job transfer. Cynthia and Ralph and their two sons settled in the small town of McDonough, NY, in their home on the pond. Finally, retirement brought Cynthia and Ralph to Milford, NH to be near their son Michael and his family.

Her family is sad that she is gone but it is good to know that she is at peace, where her aches, pains and anxieties are all gone. Cynthia was a wonderful mom to her sons, Tim & Mike. She was a wonderful mother-in-law to Jeanelle and Kim and she was a wonderful grandma to her 8 grandchildren. Cynthia loved her family and she made sure that they knew that, and that they were the joys of her life!

Cynthia valued time spent with family, painting, the ocean, books and her faith in God. She was a longtime member of Christ’s Church, Amherst.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ralph Paul of Milford, NH, her two sons, Mike and his wife Kim Paul of Milford, and Tim and Jeanelle Paul of Rhode Island, eight grandchildren, one brother, Robert Neily of SC and many close friends.
