Corey J. Kotz, 48, a resident of Milford NH, passed away at his home on October 6, 2022 after a long battle with MS. He was surrounded and supported by his loving wife and son.


He was born on October 18, 1973 in Pompton Plains, NJ the son of Joseph and Helen (Davis) Kotz. Corey was raised in West Milford, NJ where he graduated from West Milford Township High School in 1991. Corey graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1996 where he earned an Associates of Science in Civil Engineering Technology degree as well as a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.


Shortly after graduating college he met Amy Stormann, the love of his life. They were married in October 2000. Amy and Corey first settled in New Ipswich, where they welcomed their son Nolan before moving to Milford NH. Corey was a devoted father who enjoyed sharing his passions with his son. He took great pride in passing along his knowledge of sports, construction, and academics.


Corey’s love of construction was his driving force throughout his career. He enjoyed his time working for Hutter Construction as a project manager and later Colonial Green Products as an estimator.


Corey will be remembered as a big Boston sports fan, with a special admiration for the Red Sox. He loved being outdoors and being active, and enjoyed hunting and skiing for many years. He was a part of the Crotched Mountain Accessible Recreation and Sports program. He was determined to enjoy life through these activities even when his MS progressed. Music was his greatest therapy. Some days it helped him to forget everything and other days it brought back beautiful memories.


Survivors include his loving wife, Amy Kotz and son, Nolan Kotz of Milford NH, mother-in-law, Roberta Stormann of Plainfield NH, father-in-law, Edward Rosenbeck of Wilder VT, brother-in-law, Matthew Stormann and his wife Bobbie of Howland ME, their children Jacob and Luke, brother-in-law, Nathan Rosenbeck of Wilder VT, sister-in-law, Shelby Nicak and her husband Adam of Mapleton ME, and their children Ada and Ella.


He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Helen Kotz of West Milford NJ, father-in-law, Mark Stormann of Plainfield NH, and mother-in-law, Deborah Rosenbeck of Wilder VT.


Services: In accordance with his wishes there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will take place on October 22, 2022 at 2:00PM in the First Congregational Church, 10 Union Street, Milford NH. Please meet directly at the church the afternoon of. Burial will be private for family.
