Cliff J. Sumner Jr., 52, a loving husband, devoted father and resident of Temple, NH died at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH after a sudden illness. He was born on March 31, 1969 in Waltham, MA a son of the late Clifford and Joan (Lorden) Sumner. Cliff had a passion for bull riding, motorcycles and things that went bang! He was a true man of his word and a loyal friend to all. A kind and compassionate soul who would always greet you with a big smile and an even bigger hug. He worked for 26 years at Amherst Insulation and Firestop Services as a supervisor and one of the companies very first employees. Cliff was a proud member of the Purgatory Falls Fish and Game Club in Mont Vernon, NH and the All-Pro Bull Riders Association. Survivors include his loving wife, Lisa, of Temple, NH, daughter; Leandra Carwile of VA, his granddaughter, Hadley Carwile of VA, adoptive daughters, Amber O’Connor of NH and Emily Nagy of NH, and his sisters, Donna Dumais Dow (Sumner) of NH and Denise Hurd of AZ and many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055 with cremation to follow. A celebration of his life will be held next summer date and time to be announced.
