Cleo R. Forbes

Cleo R. Forbes, 91, formerly of Wilton, NH, died on October 24, 2013 at Bel-Air Nursing Home, Goffstown, NH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Colebrook, NH on December 5, 1921, a daughter of Herman and Bertha (Bunnell) Cross. She graduated from Colebrook Academy and attended Roosevelt Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She spent more than 50 years in the nursing profession, specializing in private care nursing. Mrs. Forbes made her home in Wilton for 10 years and formerly lived in Amherst, NH for many years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Family members include her husband of 65 years, Ellsworth H. Forbes of Goffstown; two daughters, Ann S. Forbes of Weare, NH and Brenda L. Stitham of Wilton; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Stitham of CT, Zachary Stitham and his wife, Susan of Wilton a brother, Herman Cross of Island Pond, VT; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
