Clement Andrew LaBelle, 87, of Knight Street, died Saturday night, July 24, 2021 at Southern Regional Hospital, Nashua, NH. Mr. LaBelle was born in East Franklin, VT, on January 1, 1934, the son of Rudolph and Corilla (Cloutier) LaBelle. He was raised and educated in East Franklin and later moved to Milford, NH in 1958. He had been employed as a CDL truck driver and heavy equipment operator at Harvey Construction Company where he retired following 28 dedicated years with the company. He was involved with many of Northern New England’s landmark structures including the NYNEX building in Manchester, NH; L.L. Bean’s retail center, Freeport, ME; and the Sherman Adams Building on Mount Washington. His greatest accomplishment was conquering the driving challenges the weather presented to get heavy equipment to the top of the mountain and to the Observatory. He was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church. He was a member of Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW and Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23 American Legion, Milford. An ardent outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and time shared with his family. He was mechanically inclined, could fix or repair anything and was known as “Mr. Fix It.” He served in the US Marines, Korean War Conflict. On April 2, 1956, he was married to Jean A. Taylor in Rutland, VT, who preceded him. He leaves two daughters, Kim LaBelle of Milford and Tina Parsons of West Palm Beach, FL., two grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Services are private.
