Christopher Stephen Yakovakis

Christopher Stephen Yakovakis, age 75, was born to Chrysoula and Stephen Yakovakis in Bennington, NH on December 6, 1937, in Bennington, NH. He passed away after months of ill health, on June 17, 2013. Chris was predeceased by his parents and sister, Anne Yakovakis Mills and is survived by his devoted wife of Hickory, NC, Loretta Bebber Yakovakis, two brothers, James and Matthew, nine nieces and nephews and nineteen great nieces and nephews. Chris moved to Lake Worth, FL soon after graduating from Peterborough, NH High School. In Lake Worth, he was in the restaurant and catering business for many years prior to his and Loretta’s move to Royal Palm Beach, FL. In retirement, Chris became a self-made horticulturist, cultivating different varieties of palm trees. He was also an accomplished builder, having reconstructed several apartments and later adding to his Royal Palm Beach home. He was an avid fisherman and an occasional golfer. Chris was versatile and popular with friends from all walks of life. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date, to be announced.
