Christopher P. Hupfer, 48, resident of Milford, NH, died October 26, 2009 at his home. He was born in Nashua, NH on October 23, 1961, a son of Donald and Margaret (Jenecke) Hupfer of Woodland Park, Colorado. Chris was raised and educated in Amherst and Milford and graduated from Milford Area Senior High School, Class of 1980. He had also resided in Mont Vernon, NH for many years. He was currently employed by McGee Builders, where he had worked for the past 25 years. Chris enjoyed NASCAR Racing, camping and was an avid Boston sports fan. He was generous to his family and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was proud of his service to his country. He served aboard both submarines and surface ships and traveled as far the North Pole on the U.S.S. Tinosa and served in the first Gulf War aboard the U.S.S. Guam. After his discharge from the Navy, he continued his service with the New Hampshire Army National Guard and retired after 20 years of service. In addition to his parents, family members include two sisters and a brother- in-law, Amy & Doug Anson of Amherst, NH and Erika Hupfer of Colorado Springs, CO; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Brett & Jamie Hupfer of Deering, NH, Jeff Hupfer of Londonderry, NH, Tim Hupfer of Los Angeles, CA and Sean Hupfer of San Francisco, CA; five nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Tuesday, November 3rd from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial with military honors will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway Route 3, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Chaplain�s Emergency Relief Fund, 1 Minute Man Way, Concord, NH 03301, Attn: Lt. Col. William Paige.
