Chester M. Hall

Chester “Chet” M. Hall, 87, passed from this life to life eternal on June 13, 2014 in Bradenton, FL after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Milford, NH on April 2, 1927, a son of Warren E. and Eva M. Hall. Chet was educated in Merrimack, NH and graduated from Nashua High School. He was the former owner of Lumbertown in Milford for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, swimming, reading and history. Chet was an active member of his community having served on the Board of Directors of the Milford Co-Op Bank for over 25 years, a member and Past Nobel Grand of Custos Morum Lodge #42 IOOF, a member of Benevolent Lodge #7 F & AM, Past District Governor of Milford Lions Club, a member of Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23 American Legion and Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW, Milford. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. Chet was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Frank E. and Vi Hall and their son, Buddy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Phil Parker, Shirley and “Chick” Ethridge; and a son-in-law, John Brougham. Family members include his wife of 66 years, June Storrs Wheeler Hall of FL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Brougham, Debra J. and David Munro, Pamela J. and Randy Langille all of NH, Rebeca J. and Joseph Giorgio of CT; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott A. and Michelle Hall of FL; 11 grandchildren, Jessie, Sarah, Tracey, Teresa, Eric, Jeremy, Daniel, Benjamin, Stephanie, Nathan and Sonia; and 16 great grandchildren. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, JULY 12th at 10:00 am in the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC, 10 Union Street, Milford. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. There will be a gathering at the Hall family home in Amherst following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation of New Hampshire, Inc., P.O. Box 970, Concord, NH 03302-0970.
