Charles J. Allison, Sr.

Charles J. Allison Sr., loving husband, father grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully on March 11, 2019 in the Palliative Care Unit at the VA Medical Center, Manchester, N.H. where he had been for just over a month. He leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Jacqueline Anne (Larouche) Allison, his devoted children, Paula Anne Allison and Charles Joseph Allison ll, seven precious grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Charles was a US Army Veteran having served 3 tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his time in the service and after being wounded was awarded the Purple Heart. His quick wit and stories will be missed by many family members and friends. He is most likely sharing a few beers with his father and father-in-law in heaven as we speak. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm concluding with Military honors at 7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St, Milford N.H. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Manchester VA Medical Center Palliative Care Unit, 718 Smyth Rd, Manchester, NH 03104. In the memo section please include “In Memory of Charles J. Allison Sr”.This will help to ensure the care veterans deserve during the difficult times that have brought them to the facility.
