Charles A. Balzarini

Charles A. Balzarini, 93, resident of Bedford, NH, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Quincy, MA as an only child on June 6, 1923, the son of Emilio and Giovannina (Testa) Balzarini. He had lived in Quincy, MA, Weston, MA, and Smithfield, RI, and then Bedford, NH for the past 17 years. Mr. Balzarini had been employed as the CEO and General Manager for Charles P. Blouin, Inc. Burlington, MA for 40 years. He was a born again Christian and was a member of the Village Bible Church, Amherst, NH and had served as a deacon over the years at other various churches. Mr. Balzarini enjoyed spending summers at his home on Cape Cod, fishing, golfing, water skiing, scalloping and clam bakes, always spending time with family members. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran having served in India during World War II. A loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he most especially treasured the time spent with family. He was highly esteemed within the Christian community and secular circles with his exceptional example of walking with Christ. He was a wonderful influence to hundreds of people. Family members include his wife of 70 years, Carmela (Ursini) Balzarini of Bedford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Peter Johnson of Fort Myers, FL, Janice and Ernie Bullock of Fort Myers, FL, Colette and Donald Hatch of Goffstown, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Doreen Balzarini of Huddleston, VA; nine grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. The legacy he leaves to the generations behind him is such a rich example of an entire family that loves and serves the Lord. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the Village Bible Church, 25½ Middle Street, Amherst, NH. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA for family members only.
