Celia Shooman

Celia Shooman, 88, resident of Milford, NH died on June 10, 2016 at her home. She was born in New York, NY on April 23, 1928, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Cecelia (Messina) Coraci. She made her home in Milford for the past 30 years and formerly lived in Nashua, NH. While living in Nashua, Celia had been active in the Nashua Actor Singers and Choral Society. In addition, she was a co-founding member of an organization called SHARE in Nashua in the 1960’s. She was a loving mother and most especially enjoyed spending time with her family, her pets, and her many dear friends. Celia was predeceased by her husband, William Shooman, who died in 2003. Family members include two daughters, Diane Shooman and Annie Shooman, and Annie’s husband, Charlie Castro; a brother-in-law, Leo Shooman; a sister-in-law, Myrna Shooman; five nieces, a nephew, and many cousins. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
