Caroline M. Sheldon

Caroline M. Sheldon, 70, resident of Milford, NH, died April 2, 2010 at her home. She was born in Holyoke, MA on June 8, 1939, a daughter of Caroline M. (Walsh) Tessier of Athol, MA and the late Charles H. Tessier. She was raised and educated in Ayer, MA. Mrs. Sheldon resided in Milford for the past 12 years and formerly lived in Greenville, NH for several years. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Fitchburg Gas & Electric Company for 29 years and for the past 12 years, she was co-owner and bookkeeper for Sheldon Motors in Milford. Mrs. Sheldon enjoyed cooking, helping others and most especially, she loved her cat, Smokey. She was a member of the Bent Burke Post #10, American Legion Auxiliary, Wilton and Harley Sanford Post #4358, VFW Auxiliary, Milford. In addition, she was a member of Pitch League, Greenville, NH and the Cribbage League, Wilton, NH. She was predeceased by a brother, John Tessier. In addition to her mother, family members include her husband of 12 years, John K. Sheldon of Milford, NH; four stepsons, Keith Sheldon and Kent Sheldon, both of Milford, Kevin Sheldon of MA and Korey Sheldon of Amherst, NH; three grandchildren, Damien, Bailey and Kasey; one great grandson, Tyler; seven brothers, Charles F. Tessier of Newcastle, CA, James Tessier of Leominster, MA, Edward Tessier of Gulfport, MS, Andrew Tessier of Erving, MA, Timothy Tessier of Hobart, IN, Paul Tessier of Everett, WA and Robert Tessier; three sisters, Rosanne Allen of Cheektowaga, NY, Elizabeth Lankford of Indianapolis, IN and Margaret Little of Lowell, MA; many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Wednesday, April 7th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064-8109.
