Carole L. Banks

Carole L. (McAllister) Banks, 71, resident of Milford, died on November 18, 2012 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. She was born in East Rochester, NH on October 17, 1941, a daughter of Roger J. McAllister, Sr. and Addie (Caney) McAllister. Carole resided in Temple and Greenville for 10 years and had lived in Milford for over 50 years. She graduated from New Hampshire College with an Associate’s Degree in Human Services for the Elderly. She was a wonderful caregiver and did private duty work for most of her life. She had been employed by Cox Nursing Home for 17 years and at the Home for the Aged, now known as the Pillsbury Home in Milford, for 11 years. Carole was an avid reader. A loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, she most especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Greenville, NH. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Banks, Jr., who died in 2000 and three brothers, Roger J. McAllister, Jr., Ronald R. McAllister and Robert McAllister. Family members include six sons and daughters-in-law, Keith Taylor and Ralph H. Taylor, Jr., both of Greenville, NH, Daryn and Jan Taylor of Jaffrey, NH, Kevin Taylor, John and Doreen Taylor, Paul J. Taylor, all of Milford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Torey and Michael Cox of Wilton, NH, Carole L. and Rene Dishong of New Ipswich, NH; 17 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Joan Yager of IA; two brothers, Raymond McAllister of SC and Ward “Tom” McAllister of Bartlett, NH; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Tuesday, November 20th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Greenville, NH at a later date.
