Carol Shagory

Carol Shagory, 79, of Bedford N.H., died on January 17, 2022 after a period of declining health. She was born in Rutland, Vermont on October 8, 1942, the daughter of William and Cynthia (Colbert) Ryer. Carol graduated from Becker College and continued her quest for knowledge all of her life. Carol loved reading, her flower gardens, long walks and car rides, spending time with family and friends, music, soft serve ice cream, and ceramics. She was a great listener and was always eager to help friends and family when they needed a friendly ear. She also was a hospice volunteer for many years. She will be remembered most for her warm smile and hearty laugh, she always enjoyed a good story, either hearing one or most likely telling one of her own. A longtime resident of Hollis, N.H she also recently lived in the Villages, Florida before residing in Bedford. Predeceased by her devoted husband George Shagory and her sister Nancy Farr, she is survived by her two sons Scott and Jeff Shagory, her brother John Ryer, and two sisters Jeanne Ryer and Jackie Hoes; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends along with her beloved dog Corry. There are no immediate services. A private memorial service will be held in the Spring in Vermont.
