Carl F. Parker

Carl F. Parker, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Raymond, NH. He was born April 11, 1936, in Keene, NH the 2nd son of the late Francis F. and Hilda H, (Epsberg) Parker of Chesham. 

He was predeceased by brothers Minot, John, Warren, Neal, Allen, sister Winnefred and wives Norma (Eastman) Parker and Betty (Mudge) Parker

Carl started his education in the one room Chesham school and was a member of the first class to graduate from the new Wells Memorial School. He went on to further his education at Keene High School and Keene State College. While in high school he was a member of the state champion baseball team in 1953 and attended NH Boys State.

Mr. Parker was a veteran of the NH Army National Guard and the US Army. He was proud of his US Army service as a signalman paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Div., 511th Signal Bn. One of his duties as a signalman was switchboard operation as the ‘Voice of the Angels’. He honored his service by being a member of the American Legion, post 23 in Milford and as a life member of the 11th Airborne Association

Carl retired from over 32 years with Lockheed Sanders, now BAE Systems in Nashua, NH.

Mr. Parker had been active as a member of the Grange, US Jaycees and Lions International. While in the Lions he was president of the Milford club. He also participated as a member of the Sanders Twilight Golf League and the Nashua Industrial 10 Pin Bowling League.

Carl enjoyed time with his family and grandsons. He was a student of the American Civil War visiting many sites associated with the conflict. He participated as a re enactor in many battle scenarios and an extra in several major movies.

Survivors include, a son Rush of Nashua, NH daughter Lisa Stowell Raymond, NH, grand children Ian Stowell, Scott, Andrew, and Zackery Parker; brothers, Lindsey, Hollis, and Robert; sister Hilda and many nephews, nieces and others.

SERVICES: Private graveside services with full military honors will be held in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
