Carl E. Anderson, Jr., 72, resident of Milford, NH, died August 13, 2008 at home surrounded by his family.� He was born in Boston, MA on October 23, 1935, a son of the late Carl E. Anderson, Sr. and Edith (Moore) Anderson.� Mr. Anderson resided in Milford for 10 years and formerly lived in Brookline, NH for many years.� For the past 35 years, Mr. Anderson owned The Color Shop, an art supply and custom framing shop, located on Main Street in Wilton where he was a popular and beloved face on Main Street.� He was a member of Clinton Lodge #52 F & AM, Wilton and had recently received his 50 year pin.� In addition, he had served as a Selectman for the Town of Brookline and on many boards, including Pine Hill School, and Chairman for many years of the Wilton Art & Film Festival.� Mr. Anderson was an avid golfer, skier and bowler.� He had a wonderful and unique sense of humor and loved to spend time with family and friends.� He was a U.S. Army veteran.� Family members include three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Anderson of Temple, NH, Susan Jambard & David Avard of Brookline, NH, Leigh & John-Luc Metz of Stockton Springs, ME; four grandchildren, Blake and Lindsey Jambard, Hannah and Luke Metz; his life partner, Alice Mitchell of Milford; two sisters, Loraine Howland of Winchester, MA and Brenda Gardner of Woburn, MA; many nieces and nephews.� He is also survived by his former wife, Ann Anderson of Florida.������ Visiting hours are Friday, August 15th from 2:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm.� A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm in Pine Grove Cemetery, Pepperell Road, Brookline, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH� 03055.�
