Burnham H. Baker

Burnham H. Baker, 84, a resident of Hollis, NH, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born in Boston in 1937, he was the son of Harold and Marie Taber. He grew up in Milton MA. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and a masters degree from Carnegie-Mellon University. He worked primarily in the computer industry for 45 years, holding executive positions with EG&G, Honeywell and Inforex. In the 1980s, he started his own consulting company, B2 Associates (B-square), where he was instrumental in working with venture capitalists to start companies and address organizational and marketing issues. Lastly, he was with Price-Waterhouse Coopers as their National Director for their Y2K program before he retired in 2001. A resident of Wellesley, MA for 41 years before moving to Hollis in 2015, Burnham summered in Alton and Wolfeboro, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee for nearly 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florence (French). He was predeceased by his sister Joyce and her husband James (Carlson). He is also survived by a brother, Luigi, and half-sister, Roxanne, both of California, sons Brent of Annandale, VA, Bruce (and wife Shreya Jain) of New York City, and Brian (and wife Christine) of Mont Vernon, NH, two grandchildren, Kristina and Alyssa, of Milford, NH as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 16 at the Congregational Church of Hollis with a reception to follow. A burial, at Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro, will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 17. Family and friends welcome at both.
