Betty A. Carrigan

Betty A. Carrigan, 79, resident of Franklin, Vermont, died on February 20, 2015 at her home. She was born in Milford, NH on January 12, 1936, a daughter of Elton Whitten and Elizabeth (Forsyth) Amsden. Betty graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1955 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Keene State College in 1959. Betty resided in Franklin, VT for the past nine years, formerly made her home in Milford, NH for more than 50 years and had also lived in Chester, VT for several years. She had been a co-owner of both Here Tiz Restaurant in Milford for 15 years and Meadowbrook Real Estate, Milford for many years. Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Albert “Bud” Carrigan, who died in 1972; and a stepson, William Carrigan. Family members include an aunt, many cousins, and a stepdaughter, Joanne Carrigan. There are no services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
