Benjamin F. Devoid, Sr.

Benjamin F. Devoid, Sr., 80, resident of Milford, NH died May 25, 2010 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 22, 1929, a son of the late Edward and Bessie (Douse) Devoid. Mr. Devoid was raised and educated in Berlin, NH and graduated from Berlin High School. He had lived in the New England Area for most of his life. He retired from Exxon Mobil in 1982, as a Senior Representative Dealer. Mr. Devoid was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed camping with family and friends. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family members include his loving wife of 42 years, Norma (Morin) Devoid of Milford, NH; three sons and two daughters-in law, Stephen and Judith Devoid of Plymouth, NH, David Devoid of Townsend, MA, Reverend Benjamin F. Devoid, Jr. and his wife, Sandy of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Diana Walton, Dana Devoid, David Devoid, Amy Devoid, Nicholas Devoid, Alex Devoid and Hannah Devoid; one great-grandchild, Lillian Devoid; a brother and sister-in-law, Fredrick and Yvette Devoid; a sister, Frances Ingersol, all of Berlin, NH; a sister-in-law, Beverly Gay of Stoddard, NH; dear friends, Betty and Clyde Collishaw of Nashua, NH; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
