Beatrice M. Burke

Beatrice M. “Bea” Burke, 97, resident of Manchester, NH, and formerly of Milford, NH, died on April 25, 2021 at RiverWoods, Manchester, NH. She was born in Boston, MA on November 13, 1923, a daughter of Thomas N. and Katherine E. (McDonald) Steiner. She lived in the Boston area for most of her life, later moving to Milford, NH where she made her home for 22 years. Bea had been employed as a Directory Assistant Operator for NYNEX for over 38 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Greater Federation of New Hampshire Women’s Club Honor Roll. She was a longtime parishioner of Saint Patrick’s Church, Milford, where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. In addition, she was a former member of the Milford Women’s Club. Bea was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Burke, who died in 2003; and six siblings, Francis, John, Mary, Evelyn, Irene and Charles. Family members include two children, Dennis T. Burke of La Quinta, CA, and Kathleen LaSala of Manchester, NH; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
