Beatrice I. Reilly, 70, of 12 Ledgewood Drive, Milford, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a courageous battle with cancer. Bea was born March 20, 1939, in Eastport, Maine, the daughter of the late Afton O. and Rose M. (Cassidy) Whelpley. She had been a resident of Milford for the past 24 years and had formerly resided in Hudson for several years. She married the late John F. Reilly, Sr. on June 6, 1959, with whom she shared a life of devotion and happiness for the next 46 years. Bea and Jack raised their family in Augusta, Maine. Mrs. Reilly was a stay-at-home mom who served as a volunteer for many school and church organizations in Augusta. She also worked for the American Heart Association, St. Mary�s Parish in Augusta, and Airmar Technology of Milford. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. Watching her Boston sports teams, especially the Sox, was a favorite pastime. Mrs. Reilly was predeceased by a sister Joanne Hayward and a brother John Whelpley. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John F. Reilly Jr. and Maggie of New York Mills, NY, and Kevin M. and Alyce Reilly of Mont Vernon, NH; four grandchildren, Shannon and Patrick Reilly of New York Mills, and Samantha and Christopher Reilly of Mont Vernon; a sister Mary Davis of Eastport, ME; several nieces and nephews. Bea will be best remembered for her devotion to Jack and their family, her positive attitude and her Down East sense of humor. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 19th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00 am in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, Attn; Development, 22 Prospect Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
