Barbara J. Watson

Barbara J. Watson, 84, longtime resident of Milford, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10th, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, after a period of declining health.

She was born on June 30, 1939, in Kennett, MO, a daughter of the late David and Elsie (Reynolds) Powell. Barbara was raised and educated in Kennett Mo. She met and married Charles H. Watson in 1958 and moved within the military for many years. After retirement they settled in New Hampshire and made their home in Milford in 1976. She worked at the Norton Company here in Milford as an assembler for many years. Barbara enjoyed her family, trips to Nashville, reading and craft fairs.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles H Watson in 2022 and her grandson Craig Watson.

Survivors include her children, Charles R. Watson of CO, Sherry and her husband Steve Foskett of Milford, NH, and Brenda and her husband Max Hebert of OK. Four sisters, Marie Davis of AR, Linda Shepard of MO, Betty Halter of MO, Carole Powell of MO, three brothers, Robert Powell of MO, James Powell of MO, and Johnny Powell of OK. Six grandchildren, Heather Faye, Shawn Foskett, Christopher Watson, Brandon Foskett, Seth Hebert, Eric Hebert and nine great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055. A funeral service will follow the calling hour in the funeral home Chapel at 11:00 AM with burial to conclude in the Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
