Barbara A. Meedzan

Barbara A. Meedzan, 76, resident of Milford, NH, died July 27, 2012 at Ridgewood Center, Bedford, NH. She was born in Lowell, MA on August 17, 1935, a daughter of Leo T. and Mildred (Hoag) Rancourt. Raised and educated in Lynn, MA, she graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1954. Mrs. Meedzan made her home in Milford for more than 25 years and formerly lived in Nashua, NH for many years. She had been employed by DiaCom Corporation, Amherst, NH. She enjoyed crafts, was an avid reader and especially liked reading mysteries. She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Meedzan was a member of NAFE and Ricciardi Hartshorn Unit #23, American Legion Auxiliary, Milford. In addition, she was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. She was predeceased by a son, Ted W. Meedzan, who died in 2011. Family members include her husband of 58 years, Theodore W. Meedzan of Milford; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marcia L. and David F. Page of Lowell, MA, Diane L. Meedzan and her partner, Peter Martin of Raymond, NH; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Carrie Vega and her children, Anthony, Ilyana and Christopher Vega of Merrimack, NH, Jason McNicholas of Santa Cruz, CA, Zachary Page of Lowell, MA and Courtney Meedzan of Milford, NH; two sisters, Carol McDonough of Saugus, MA and Junerose Lombara of Peachtree City, GA; a brother, Robert Rancourt of WI; several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 11:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford.
