Barbara A. Harwood

Barbara A. Harwood, 88, resident of Milford, NH, died January 10, 2009 in Harborside Healthcare Center-Crestwood in Milford. She was born in Spofford, NH on March 28, 1920, a daughter of the late George & Johanna (Powers) Stromgren. She was a graduate of Peterborough High School, Class of 1938, Peterborough, NH. Mrs. Harwood resided in Milford for many years and formerly lived in Wilton, NH for more than 40 years. She had been employed as an inspector for Abbott Worsted Mills in Wilton, NH for 10 years. Mrs. Harwood was predeceased by her husband, Francis Harwood, who died in 1984. Family members include two sons, Michael H. Harwood of Reno, NV and Bruce A. Harwood of Antrim, NH; a brother, Richard Stromgren of Keene, NH; many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be in Vale End Cemetery, Wilton, NH, in the spring.
