Audrey Yakovakis

Audrey Yakovakis, 70, longtime resident of Amherst, NH, died peacefully on August 19, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nashua, NH on October 10, 1944, a daughter of Thurston and Marjorie (Heffer) Williams. Audrey was raised and educated in Wilton, NH and attended Fisher Junior College, Boston, MA. She made her home in Amherst for the past 36 years and wintered in Estero, Florida. Audrey was a Realtor working with Marsha W. Foster Realtors, Milford, NH, for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing tennis and racquetball, playing cards with her best friends, golfing, feeding and watching birds in her backyard, shopping for her ten grandchildren, and tending to her flower gardens, and was a member of the Amherst Garden Club. She was always a very happy person and most happy when her children and grandchildren visited, and when playing with her english setter Rusty. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and loved spending time with and doting on her ten grandchildren. Audrey was predeceased by a brother, Roger Williams. Family members include her husband, Matthew Yakovakis of Amherst, NH; four sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Holly Yakovakis Gregory and Suzie McDonough, Anthony and Kristen Yakovakis, Scott and Doreen McDonough, ten grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Dale Williams; a sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Allan Foster; many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 26th at 2:00 pm in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Abbot Hill Road, Wilton, NH.
