Audrey E. Chamberlain

Audrey E. Chamberlain, 92, longtime resident of Milford, died on September 15, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was born in Pittsburg, NH on August 11, 1922, a daughter of George and Ada (Crawford) Hilliard. She was raised and educated in Pittsburg and was a member of The Pythian Sisters. For more than 50 years, she has made her home in Milford. Mrs. Chamberlain had worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company in Milford, a hostess at Howard Johnson’s Restaurant in Nashua and as a realtor for Violette Real Estate. She was an amazing woman…gentle, genuine, caring and putting everyone else first. She always had time to lend an ear with compassion and understanding, was a supportive and loving wife, a devoted Mother and Gram. In addition, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and had a genuine love for all kinds of animals. She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Chamberlain; a daughter, Hedy Lynch and a son, William C. Chamberlain. Family members include ten sons, Dennis Chamberlain and his partner, Carole Futtrup of St. Petersburg, FL, Craig Chamberlain and his wife, Debra of Colebrook, NH, Stephen Chamberlain and his wife, Marilyn of Milford and Stoddard, NH, Curtis Chamberlain of Milford, Barry Chamberlain of Wilton, NH, Bradford Chamberlain, Michael Chamberlain and Gary Chamberlain, all of Debary, FL, Vincent Chamberlain and his wife, Sandra of Brookline, NH, Jeffrey Chamberlain and his partner, Kerry Cook of Milford; a daughter, Penny Chamberlain of Nashua, NH; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visiting hours are on Thursday, September 18th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
