Arthur David Aster

Arthur David Aster, 62, resident of Mason, NH, died suddenly on September 29, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Malden, MA on April 25, 1950, a son of David and Helen (Thomas) Aster. He was raised and educated in Malden, MA and graduated from Malden High School. Mr. Aster made his home in Mason for the past 23 years and formerly lived in Wilmington, MA. He had worked for Pipe Fitters Union Local 537, Boston, MA for many years and was currently employed by the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections. Mr. Aster was an avid reader, enjoyed the ocean and looking at the stars. He was a wonderful cook and most especially loved spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of the Lodge of Sterling AF & AM, Malden, MA. Family members include his wife of 28 years, Lisa M. (Brown) Aster of Mason; five daughters, Sarah H. Aster, Rachel E. Aster, Hannah M. Aster and Emily A. Aster, all of Mason, Kimberly Aster of Tewksbury, MA; a son, Arthur D. Aster of Brazil; two grandchildren, Seth and Abigail Auger; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda & George Wilson of Malden, MA, Dale Hendry of Saugus, MA, Merle Crocker of Malden, MA; many nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Lexi. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5th at 1:00 pm in the Mason Congregational Church, 33 Valley Road, Mason, NH. Friends and family are all welcome. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Danvers, MA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lodge of Sterling AF & AM, 142 Pleasant Street, Malden, MA 02148.
