Anne Marie (Burke) Jacobs, 75, died peacefully on March 21, 2008 in Palm Bay, Florida.� She was born in Boston, MA on October 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Felix and Helen (Murphy) Burke of Medford, MA and Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.� Mrs. Jacobs resided in Palm Bay, Florida for the past 25 years and formerly resided in Hollis, NH and Nashua, NH.� She had been employed as a secretary for the training department at Palm Bay Fire Department for many years and had also worked at the Nashua Fire Department, Nashua, NH. Following her retirement, she spent much of her time volunteering for various organizations and also enjoyed ceramics. While living in New Hampshire, she was a communicant of St. Patricks Church, Milford, where she sang in the choir. She was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. Mrs. Jacobs was predeceased by her daughter, Alison Helene Jacobs. Family members include her daughter, Kathleen S. Jacobs of Framingham, MA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew E.B. & Julie Jacobs of Austin, TX, Christopher M. & Rebecca Jacobs of Nashua, NH; and three grandsons, Cameron, Devin and Joel.� A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 29th from 9:00-10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Patricks Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH.� Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Hollis, NH.� In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, New England Chapter Bay State Branch, 20 Walnut Street, Suite 318, Wellesley Hills, MA� 02481 or Joslin Diabetes Center, Development Office, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA� 02215.�
