Andrew E. Rothovius, 86, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died October 28, 2009 at The Laurel Center in Bedford, NH. He was born in Milford, NH on January 30, 1923, a son of the late David and Evelina (Oberg) Rothovius. Mr. Rothovius had been employed by Kenmore Stamp Company, Milford and Sanders Associates, Nashua for many years. In addition, he was the former Cooperative Program Observer for 49 years and retired from the Cooperative Weather Program. Mr. Rothovius was a prolific writer, voracious reader and a history buff, especially American History. He had written more than 4000 columns for local papers including The Milford Cabinet and Peterborough Transcript. He donated the Rothovius Research Collection, which consisted of over 2000 research books to the Wadleigh Public Library in Milford. He held many memberships in antiquities, literary and historical societies. Mr. Rothovius was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, Merrimack, NH. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a sister, Sigrid E. Rothovius. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9th at 2:00 pm in Riverside Cemetery, Nashua Street, Milford.
