Amy E. Gleneck, 55, resident of Amherst, NH, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2020 at her home. She was born in Newport Beach, California on December 17, 1964, the daughter of Virgil and Joanne (Hall) Koenig. Amy was raised and educated in both Laguna Beach, California and Casa Grande, Arizona. She traveled the world for almost two decades as an International Flight Service Manager for Continental, where she was given an Achieving Extraordinary Customer Relations Award. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. All were welcome at her home and she was a delightful hostess. “Smarter than the average bear,” and yet, “don’t be afraid to ask” was her favorite motto. A proud mother who taught the importance of being polite and kind to others, as her parents did for her. She was well known for her fearless spirit, and it surely lives on today. She left behind her husband, James A. Gleneck, who loved and adored her, whom she married 11 years ago, but spent 19 blissful years together; two sons who were her “pride and joy,” Corey Yacco and Jake Yacco; a stepdaughter, Sara Shipley; a stepson, Samuel Gleneck; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Jed Gould and Tony Chatterton. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
