Alexander L. Gagnon, Sr.

Alexander L. Gagnon, Sr., 90, resident of Milford, NH died on September 5, 2016 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. He was born in Nashua, NH on July 4, 1926, a son of Joseph A.L. Gagnon and Maria (Ross) Gagnon. He was raised and educated in Hudson, NH. Prior to moving to Milford three years ago, he made his home in Nashua and Hudson for most of his life. Mr. Gagnon was self-employed and spent more than 30 years installing flooring. He was a wonderful father and grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Mr. Gagnon was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rachel (Courtemanche) Gagnon; his second wife, Betty (Gammell) Gagnon; and three children, Angela, Frank and John. Family members include six sons, Alexander L. Gagnon, Jr. and his wife, Paula of North Carolina, David Gagnon and his wife, Linda of Milford, Gary Gagnon and his wife, Denise of Milford, Joseph Gagnon and his wife, Georgette of Northwood, NH, Donald Gagnon of Nashua, NH, Russell Gagnon and his wife, Sara of VT; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are on Monday, September 12th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
