Albert L. Adams, 86, resident of Hollis, NH, died June 12, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Reading, MA on January 16, 1926, a son of Lester C. and Leona (Parkhurst) Adams. Mr. Adams made his home in Hollis since 1949. He had been employed by Abbot Machine Company in Wilton for 23 years and retired at the age of 79 from Woodmont Orchards in Hollis, NH after 20 years. An avid woodworker, his specialty was making walking sticks from apple wood and many of his creations were distributed to veterans. Mr. Adams was a member of the New Hampshire National Guard. In addition, he was also a member of the National Grange. He was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Adams and a sister, Edith Jordan. Mr. Adams was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather. Family members include his wife of 63 years, Margaret L. “Peggy” (Tyler) Adams of Hollis; three children, Laura M. Lawton of Palmdale, CA, Lester C. Adams of Hollis, NH and Deborah A. Orcutt of Amherst, NH; four grandchildren, Kristina Lawton, Kathryn Lawton, Kate Orcutt and Daniel Orcutt; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
