Mary A. Perham, 90, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Hillsboro House in Hillsboro, NH following a lengthy illness. She was born in Columbia, NH on April 9, 1922, a daughter of Donald W. & Marion E. (Lang) Shoff. Mrs. Perham was a graduate of Lyndon State Teachers College, Lyndon VT. She was an elementary school teacher and taught third grade at the Florence Rideout Elementary School, Wilton, NH for more than 25 years. She devoted many years of service to the American Legion Auxiliary, served as past National Vice President and was a member of the Ricciardi Hartshorn Post # 23 Auxiliary, Milford, NH. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church, Milford, NH. Mrs. Perham was predeceased by her husband, Lester R. Perham who died in 1991. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Peter Graesser of Francestown, NH; two step-sons, Paul and Regina Perham, of Keene, NH, Graham and Janice Perham of Lisbon, NH; four grandchildren, Michele and Jason Schneiderman of Manchester, NH, Julie and Erik Shaffer of Keene, NH, Kim and Brian Gillis of NY and Jeffrey and Lisa Perham of San Diego, CA; six great grandchildren; several nieces and cousins. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, October 31st from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
