Lyman R. Blake, 98, passed away on May 28, 2015 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Milford. He was born in Westerly, RI on October 31, 1916. He was raised and educated in Rhode Island and graduated from the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Blake was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a proud pilot having served during WWII & Korea and was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. He made his home in Milford, NH for many years and worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company until he retired. Mr. Blake enjoyed playing and watching golf. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves his wife of 72 years, Frances Blake; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mitch Blake of Nantucket, MA, Robert and Connie Blake of Milford, NH; five grandchildren, Linsey, Lori, Andrew, Rowan and Eva Blake; and one great grandchild, Sagan Blake-Welsh. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 10th at 2:00 pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH.
