James A. Davis

James A. Davis, 78, longtime resident of Nashua, NH, died on June 1, 2023 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.

He was born on October 30, 1944 in Nashua, NH, the son of John and Cecile (Levesque) Davis. James was raised and educated in Nashua

He had been employed as a mechanic for many years for Sears Automotive, Midas Muffler and Advanced Auto. In addition, he had also owned Alton’s Flowers & Gifts.

James was an avid gardener, who loved spending time in his yard. He was a member of the Nashua Elks Lodge #720, Nashua, NH and the American Legion James E. Coffey Post #3, Nashua, NH.

He was predeceased by his brother, Henry Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Vincent) Davis of Nashua, NH; a daughter, Victoria Davis of Dunbarton, NH; stepchildren, Donna Willette of Hollis, NH, Steve Marshall of Goffstown, NH, and Kenneth Marshall of Nashua, NH; brothers, Roland Davis, David Davis, John Davis III, and William Davis; sisters, Dorothy Davis and Jeanette Chamberlain; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 5:00-7:00 in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will be hold on Friday, June 9th at 10:00am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
