Hope L. Dunn

Hope L. Dunn, 94, former resident of Amherst, NH, died October 3, 2012 at Ridgewood Center, Bedford, NH. She was born in Queens, NY on September 15, 1918, a daughter of Charles W. and Martha (Richter) Koehler. Mrs. Dunn had lived in Amherst for several years and formerly made her home in Queens, NY for most of her life. While living in New York, she was a longtime member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star and was active in Mothers Club for Boy Scouts. Mrs. Dunn was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, William E. Dunn, who died in 2000 and a granddaughter, Denise Dunn, who died in 1986. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, William E. and Joan Dunn of Amherst, NH, Charles W. and Constance M. Dunn of Smithtown, LI, NY; four grandchildren, Deanna Dunn Cordts and her husband, Jeffrey of Amherst, NH, William Dunn IV and his wife, Becky of Nelson, NH, Michael Dunn and his wife, Christine of LI, NY, James Dunn and his wife, Erin of Tampa, FL; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, October 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in Meadowview Cemetery, Foundry Street, Amherst, NH.
