Hedley Vincent Parsons, 91, resident of Mont Vernon, NH passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2016.He was born in his family home in Mont Vernon on June 17, 1925, the son of Hedley V. Parsons and Nora (Cleary) Parsons. A World War II Army veteran, Hedley served in the 670th Field Artillery Battalion in France and Germany (1944-1946). In 1947 he moved to Alaska where he homesteaded for the next 37 years. He returned to NH in 1984. He was pre-deceased by two sons, Timothy Parsons and Hedley Vincent Parsons III. Hedley is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Jacqueline V. (Kuhn) Parsons, two daughters, Patricia Winegar of Alaska and Priscilla (Sudie) Gauvin of Greenville, NH, a grandson Alex J. Gauvin also of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home 63 Elm St, Milford, NH.
