Constance R. Picard, 88, longtime resident of Amherst, NH, died on August 8, 2019 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. She was born in Nashua, NH on May 4, 1931, a daughter of Oswald and Adrienne (Marquis) Boilard. She was raised and educated in Nashua, NH graduating from Nashua High School, Class of 1949 and Sacred Heart School of Nursing. Mrs. Picard made her home in Amherst for more than 50 years. She had been employed as a registered nurse at the former Nashua Memorial Hospital. In addition, she had also worked for Weight Watchers for 15 years and in the kitchen at Wilkins School in Amherst, NH for 10 years. Mrs. Picard was an avid reader and enjoyed camping, gardening, being outdoors, loved music and dancing. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Family members include her husband of 64 years, James E. Picard of Amherst, NH; three children, David Picard and his wife Victoria of Rosamond, CA, Michele Holland and her husband Hal of Lyndeborough, NH, Anthony Picard and his wife Cheryl of Milford, NH; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Natalie Smith of Nashua, NH; a brother, Gerald Boilard and his wife Patricia of Hudson, NH; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 9:00-11:00am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH, followed by funeral services at 11:00am. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
